Warning - be careful with servo adjustments
Having a lot of problems here. When I turn Rapiro on, all the servos go crazy, and the robot twists into a strange position, and the motors make a lot of noise. I have to turn it off right away.
I have tried adjusting the trim, but that does not seem to help. Now it looks like I have to take the whole thing apart and rebuild. But it took me 2 days to build it the first time. I followed the instructions very carefully. I really don't have time to take apart and rebuild; and I could still have the same problem.
The assembly instructions should probably be updated to make sure people know how to properly initialize the servo positions during setup.
The right foot was the most obvious problem - I took that apart and put it back on, which seems to have helped. Now I see that both arms are trying to move - if I raise them up while turned off, still they close and the servos keep trying to move. So, I took the arms apart and adjusted them, seems to be a bit better now.
Hmm... finally was able to use trim adjustments to get things balanced, more or less. Now I can plug in my PC and send #M6 to change the eye color. But none of the motor commands seem to work. Now I need to research how to use my Raspberry Pi and camera...
perhaps this?

I agree with @lacarte. I use the recommended Eneloop batteries. I found that if the batteries get even just a little bit low, then when I turn RAPRIO on, the yaw and pitch of his feet "go crazy." It actually looks like the four servos in the feet try to turn fully in one direction, which makes his posture quite bad. The battery power isn't actually enough power to make the servos lift him up if he is set down ... but if I pick him up I see the servos twist as described.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I have the same problems with fully charged batteries as well as the DC power supply plug. I will experiment some more this weekend... it's turning into a full time job...
Anyone found a solution I have the same problem woth batteries eneloop and adapters with 12V 10A and others.
Thank you
Common reason of malfunction is
1. Using wrong batteries.

must use Panasonic Eneloop or Panasonic Eneloop Pro or Energizer Recharge
2. Batteries were not fully charged.
3. Forgetting initial adjustment of servo angles before assembling.

4. Forgetting adjustment of servo angles after assembling.

5. Failing to keeping the initial adjustment of servo motor's axis angle.
If everything is fine and the problem seems like initial defect, please contact to defect@rapiro.com.
Having the same problem here with fully charged Eneloop batteries.
