Rapiro with Raspberry Pi 2

I just upgraded mine from Pi Model B to the Pi 2. It works like a charm.
There was only one hiccup with the Edimax WiFi dongle. Other than that it was perfectly smooth.

The robot's response to my voice commands are speedier. The facial recognition is also faster. What surprises me is that the battery life is better. It was about 1hour 40 mins standby time using Pi Model B under light usage. It is now 3 hour 20 mins after upgrading to Pi 2.

I will try to put up something on my blog when I have more time.

3 hours with battery? That's impressive!

Do you have a blog of how you set up voice/facial recognition? I'm about to get a camera for the facial recognition.

This is some of the partial writeup on how to setup the facial recognition.

The voice controlled is via an android app that I wrote. I cheated because it's using on a python web service on the pi 2, and the voice recognition is coming from the Android builtin function. http://github.com/luzhuomi/RapiCommand

Hi. Im thinking of getting a Rapiro. But I also want to get a pi 2. How is the mounting done? Is there much modification needed or is it a case of 3d printing a new mount and modify the head for the new connections?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Hi Tim,

Regarding the Pi2 mount, I tried 3d-printing the modded version based on the wiki.
http://forum.rapiro.com/thread/490/. However this requires some additional parts to be purchased from switch science.

I use http://make-muda.weblike.jp/tools/rapiro_b_plus.stl from Hidaka's blog.
http://make-muda.weblike.jp/2015/01/2358/, the printing is pretty fast and you don't need extra purchases.
