Switching power supply

Will DC-AC (Ac input, DC output) work or will I have to buy an AC adapter instead? It produces 6000mah at 12v

So far there is no AC adapter sold for Rapiro.

Recommended spec is 4A and over.

Can't guarantee but 6A may be fine.

Be very careful I have had my Rapiro for 1 day (and a good 5 hours of that was building it) and all was working well (I should have quit when I was ahead), I decided to try an adapter that matched what I believed to be an acceptable match given the specs above (see image). Within a second of pluging it in smoke started pouring out of poor Rapiro's body. It seems I fried the motherboard. My dream of becoming a robot owner is now over.

Hello.

Rapiro needs 'Center-positive, Barrel-negative' AC-DC adapter.
I guess spraycan_man uses AC-AC adapter.

The adapter's worked for the most part. Been using it for a month now but only in spurts of half an hour or so. The board tends to heat up pretty easily

I have got an AC adaptor now, it works fine. Much better than on Batteries which didn't last long. My goal is to have my rapiro monitor my room :). But my concern is same as @kobe_23, it heats up I'm worry that it will burn up... any body has similar issue, maybe added a cpu fan?
