I am getting an error message when I import the sketch to Arduino and try to upload it. Below is the error message that I get:
Arduino: 1.6.5 (Mac OS X), Board: "Arduino Uno"
Sketch uses 10,512 bytes (32%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32,256 bytes.
Global variables use 1,744 bytes (85%) of dynamic memory, leaving 304 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes.
Low memory available, stability problems may occur.
avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "COM1": No such file or directory
ioctl("TIOCMGET"): Inappropriate ioctl for device
Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.
This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
enabled in File > Preferences.
It's been almost a month and no response to this...not impressed at all. This was like 500 bucks....
Almost 2 months...
I just setup my Rapiro yesterday and had to solve some problems myself. I doubt that Com1 is the right port. I have never seen a Mac with a real serial port and the connection is over a virtual com port so you have to select that for communicating with the little bugger.
In my case the port is "/dev/cu.usbserial-DA01HC31" but the IDE selected that automatically. If it didn't did you eventually forget to install the virtual com port driver?
Merry Christmas :-)
